Solutions for Life

What is Solutions For Life?

Solutions For Life is a series of sermons that takes a different slant on the traditional church-wide revival emphasis. Michael Stewart, Stewardship strategist for Louisiana Baptists, adopted the name Solutions for Life because he knows people want solutions for the problems of every-day life.

Michael Stewart has served in pastoral ministry for more than 35 years. Looking back on his ministry experience, he states that “far too often, our friends, family and co-workers drift through life without hope. As a result, they look for meaning and purpose in all the wrong places.”

The information shared in Solutions for Life is thoroughly biblical. These sermons teach people how to begin a personal relationship with God and how to live as faithful disciples of Jesus.

Possible topics include “How to Build a Happy Home”, “Mastering Your Marriage”, “Sharing Your Story”, “Real-Life Relationships”, “A Know-So Salvation” and “Figuring out Your Finances”.

People who attend these nightly sessions will receive what they value most … solutions for life!

Under the Big Top VBS

I love that moment when kids “get it.” I love the look on their face and the sound in their voice when they understand the gospel for the first time. I’ve seen it happen during small group Bible study, an art project, a song during worship, a science experiment, and even a messy game.
Just like kids “get it” through different learning styles, adults connect more strongly with certain interests or gifts. Some feel paralyzing anxiety when they think about teaching a room of kids about God, but could get really excited about showing kids God’s love while playing crazy messy games! What if we equipped those people to serve and connect with kids in an environment that they would love and thrive in? This summer we will be looking for volunteers to serve in many different roles for this summer’s VBS. Mandi Wolfe is serving as the Bible Study director. Martha Mercer will be serving as the Preschool Director. Jason Mercer will be serving as the Tract Director. Denise Laughlin will be serving as this years Administration & Publicity Director. Pray about where God will have you serve this summer and contact one of the directors above to let them know your interest. More information will be coming on Sunday, March 22nd.
